DAAD-STIBET Scholarship is a scholarship for international students.
The International Office uses funds of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD to award scholarships of up to EUR 400 per month for 3 to 4 months to international students and doctoral candidates of the University of Oldenburg who wish to complete their studies/ doctorate within the next two years
The scholarship application is opened twice a year and it’s only then applicants can apply. It opens May-June for the following winter semester and then opens November – January for the summer semester.
Prerequisites for an outstanding application are good academic performance, voluntary work inside and outside the university is an added advantage.
REQUIREMENTS
- International students and doctoral candidates enrolled at the University of Oldenburg are to successfully graduate within the next two years.
- International Students or doctorate candidates whose monthly income does not exceed EUR 450.
- Applicants with residence permits for study purposes only.
If a recipient of the scholarship gets a job that pays more than EUR 450 per month before taxes, his or her next month scholarship will be reduced by the difference as per DAAD requirements
Application Procedures
- How-to-Apply: Application is in 3 stages and only those who complete these stages will be considered for the scholarship.
- Step 1: Online Application: Complete the online application form (application link is only live during the application period)
- Step 2: Uploading important application documents: Candidates are expected to upload their application documents as a single PDF file, which is to be submitted to the university’s cloud storage ( file name should be named, STIBET_last-name_first-name.pdf ). The following are required documents for scholarship application;
- Completed application form (pdf)
- Motivation letter(a letter that justifies your application)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Transcript with grade average or letter of acceptance of doctorate committee for doctorate candidates.
- Enrolment certificate
- Copy of the residence permit.
- If available, proof of volunteer works will be an added advantage.
- If you are married, information about family finance is important.
