CFA Women’s Scholarship is a scholarship available for women all over the world who are interested in earning the CFA® charter and also do not qualify for other CFA Institute scholarships.
Women especially those in the investment management industry are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship aim at promoting the border participation of women in the CFA program.
Currently, this scholarship is awarded to several women at different times within a year. This is to say that the application is opened more than once a year and so also is the application deadline.
Women interested in this opportunity have to be on the lookout for the times when applications will be called from women in different parts of the world.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
- Women from all over the world
- Women are interested in earning the CFA charter.
- Women are not eligible for other CFA Institute scholarships.
To get started, you need to apply for the scholarship award and then wait. It is only then that you can register and pay for your exam.
CFA exam registration fee is reduced to USD350 and if selected for the scholarship, the enrollment fee is waived and there is no refund if you pay for the exam before receiving the decision about the scholarship award.
HOW TO APPLY
The scholarship application portals open at different intervals during the year, the first cycle started 1 January through the 28th of January. The next cycle will commence once the first cycle is concluded.
While applying, the scholarship essay is very important.
You are asked to write on why you will like to get the CFA women’s scholarship.
Your response here will go a long way to determine if you get considered alongside other criteria.
Try to make it as personal as possible, share your personal story while relating to your dedication to getting the CFA charter.
Make sure to include your interest in finance, work in the field, your achievements that make you stand out from your peers in the application.
Also, include your future plan and how CFA has intertwined in it, and the significance of that dream to your sector.
If awarded the scholarship, you have at most 7 months to register for the CFA exam so as to make use of the waived enrollment fee and discounted registration (an expiry date will be stated in your scholarship award email).
